The Purpose

Even though, I am barely starting my journey in this industry. I want to be able to share my experience and the process to help others now, or in the future when they are interested in getting involved in biology or the healthcare industry. This blog is going to consist of many more helpful tips and tricks to get through this field. It will range from the degree to what to do after getting the degree. This will be backed up with personal experience and credible sources. The purpose is to make it helpful to guide you through various healthcare-related industries that become available with degrees that are under the realm of what is considered biological sciences; however, keeping the main focus about information regarding medical school and what follows. This will include discussions such as what majors are best or most common for certain fields as well as different areas within the industry people may not have known about but are in a position to pursue it if they so wish to. In conclusion, this blog will try it be a decent one stop-shop to gather information and locate links to other websites that will hopefully be useful, without having to scour the web looking for contradictory or confusing information. I hope you are interested and excited for what’s in store for this blog.

Inside Look of the Author

Who am I? Another person sitting in Starbucks typing away on the keyboard of a laptop or a writer wanting to be heard and expressing their voice through writing. Not close, ha well I do drink Starbucks however that is not the point. I am another college student out of the schooling system; currently attending University of California Davis pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. Why you may ask? I’ve always been oriented toward healthcare since I was little. I was raised by a  pharmacist, so as you can imagine there was lots of little conversations about how the healthcare industry works and its importance. I was fascinated by his work and the world of sciences which made me want to be a part of it. The human body is more complex than we think from the arm you use to write to the many veins that run through it. I am interested how it all works and how I can use that knowledge to help others. The healthcare industry is so large therefore I will need to look into something more specific. I am getting this experience first hand surrounded by professors that have conducting research to further understand the human body and its many parts. Research like this obviously has a lot of bearing for healthcare fields and so it has always been an example that I heard throughout the courses I taken in pursuit of my degree.
